It’s October, and I’ve got another lovely pile of books that I’m planning to make my way through this month!
I love this time of year. For me there’s nothing more comforting than sitting outside wrapped up in a big scarf, watching the orange and red leaves fall and getting lost in a book.
I picked up this book from World Reading Night last year. I met Adele Parks and she signed this book for me and wished me luck with my writing.
I’m almost half way through already and I’m fully immersed. It’s been a while since I’ve read a “women’s fiction” novel as it’s simply not my genre of choice but I’m finding this an enjoyable read about family drama and how alzheimer’s can affect a family.
Ava is an unusual teenager but not in the “I don’t feel like I fit in” sense – she really doesn’t fit in – because she was born with angel wings!
This book has been getting a lot of attention in the book blogging community and I’m looking forward to finding out why it’s gained so much attention for myself.
In Caitlin Moran‘s signature style, How to Build a Girl appears to be a hilarious celebration of those awkward teenage years that I’m sure every girl will be able to relate to. I adored How to be a Woman and I’m really looking forward to seeing how her writing style differs in fiction.
